About cropping images
Cropping trims a photo down to the part that matters — removing empty edges, straightening a composition, or shaping an image for a profile picture, thumbnail or banner. Because it only discards the pixels outside the box, the area you keep is untouched: JPEGs are re-saved at high quality, while PNG and WebP stay lossless.
