About deleting PDF pages
Deleting pages is handy for dropping blank scans, cover sheets, ads or anything you don't want to share. FileTinker rebuilds the document from the pages you keep, so the result is a clean PDF with the unwanted pages gone and everything else untouched.

Duplex scanning is the classic source of junk pages — every one-sided original comes back with a blank reverse, so a 10-page scan turns into 20. Deleting the even pages restores the real document. Count pages by their physical position, not the number printed on them. Reports often front-load a cover, contents and roman-numeral preamble, so the page labelled 1 might be the fifth page of the file. Open the PDF in any viewer, note the positions you want gone, and enter those. It is also worth remembering that deletion works in whole pages — hiding a paragraph on a page you keep is a redaction job, not a deletion.

Resources shared across pages — embedded fonts, logos, backgrounds — must stay as long as any remaining page uses them, so text-heavy documents shed less weight. If the goal is a smaller file rather than fewer pages, compressing the PDF is the more direct route.
